The 4L60E transmission uses a 16 Bolt pan, which is more than most other GM automatic transmissions. which is why it’s important to make sure that you are getting the right pan bolt kit for it. If you are looking to do the job right, make sure that you are tightening the bolts to the proper specs.
It would be both smart and beneficial to change the pan gasket anytime you crack it open. They’re so cheap, you might as well.
